Synopsis: Widow, Ruth Watson, lives a lonely existence with only periodic visits from her daughter and the mailman- until she acquires a garden gnome, which she quickly grows attached to. Ruth spends her mornings in its company until it mysteriously vanishes. She assumes it was stolen, but her trepidation grows when she begins to receive postcards sent from her missing gnome. Ruth fears she is being harassed, as the deliveries grow more frequent and more personal. Eventually, Ruth’s anxiety comes to a head when she begins to wonder if the gnome’s return will cause HER to disappear.
