Synopsis: “Dysmorphia” is a short film exploring the relationship between the mirror self-image and Body Dysmorphic Disorder and expressing how it actually feels like. “I have a cow face,” is a typical expression an individual may say when they are suffering with body dysmorphia. Many people confuse self esteem issues with BDD believing that it is quite normal for many people to have at least one facial or body flaw. As a result they are not diagnosed as BDD but rather diagnosed with low self esteem as a symptom of Anxiety.
