Synopsis: A boy finds himself trapped in his cellar against his own will.
The film was made for the University of Southern California’s School of Cinematic Arts in response to the following prompt: “Students will choose a genre and select a “sound scape” from several provided folders of sounds, or create one of their own. Once these have been selected, they will create a short visual story riffing off the possibilities of these sounds. They can bring in additional sounds either from the production location, or outside sources, but cannot use dialogue. Students may mix (for example) everything from car horns, dogs barking, heels clicking, stomachs rumbling, coins falling etc. to create a melodic or patterned rhythm. The created sound track must engage the viewer, and inform and drive the content of the story.”
